2019 Tethered Hydro Season Preview

Tethered hydro people

Hi All
Firstly may we wish you all a Happy New Year and a successful 2019 racing season. We have been asked by the MPBA to write a pre-season report.
After a disastrous 2018 season where bad weather caused many meetings to be cancelled, Let’s hope 2019 will be better.
As you are all aware the noise levels will be monitored at all meetings following a noise complaint made at Althorne. Personally we expect speeds to be lower initially to achieve noise levels, but let’s hope with some effort we can improve.

We are still looking for a new southern area lake.

We will be running the ‘have a go day’ as well at most meetings around the circuit. All equipment will be provided. Please contact Norman if interested.

On The Grapevine 2019

We have been hearing various tales of some new A1 boats and modified motors in the pipeline, with John Underwood adding an A3 to his fleet after a successful 2018 recording a personal best in A2.
With the A/B Worlds in Pazardhik, Bulgaria at present 29.7.17 – 4.8.19 there has been a lot of interest with potentially a bigger team attending in all classes, an excellent weeks racing. Please contact Norman for details. We understand that Australia are intending to come back into the A/B section this year and hope to go to Bulgaria in July.
