Our Secretary, Linda is part of the Multi scene. She organises most of the races and carries out the Timing and Lap Counting functions.

Andy has been boating since the 70's, competing in Scale and Functional steering at VMSC with his dad Fred. He moved on to Multi Racing in the 80's and is the 2016 National Drivers Champion. Tethered Hydro
Holder of the A3 Class record at a speed of 141.07mph set in 2014. Gold Medal in A3 and Silver Medal in A2 at European Championships 2008. Double silver medallist at the 2013 World Championships. Silver medal in A3 at the 2014 European Championships. In July 2014 Norman broke his long standing A3 record at 141.07mph, becoming the first run at over 140mph in this country, which set a new outright hydroplane record.
Angela is the Sport 40 UK record holder at 106.77 mph
Bob has broken the flash steam hydroplane record on numerous occasions which was held until 2012 at 122.53mph. Secretary of the North East Coast Association of Model Power Boat Clubs (Heaton and District MPBC,Tynemouth MBC, South Shields Model Yacht club). Power boat section leader SSMYC. A recipient of the MPBA President's Award.
In France 2000, recorded 133mph with 10cc own built engine, the highest speed for own built engine. John also held the 30cc world record at 123.73mph for 8 years from 1991.
Pete is the current UK A1 record holder at 122.64mph set in August 2017

Multi
2019 and 2018 15cc & 27cc double Drivers Champion James has won a record 12 National Drivers Titles, one of only 2 people to have won in every class. James was also silver medallist at the 2014 World Championships.
Lauren is probably the most experienced non racing Multi Racer! A strong voice on the committee and Team Leader at World Champs
Andrew (Drew) Aykroyd is a 2 time Junior World Champion, 4 time National Half-Hour winner and UK National Drivers Champion in the ‘Blue Riband’ 15cc class.
Luke has been a strong junior, winning silver at the 2018 iMBRA Worlds. Luke brings a fresh perspective to the committee
Nigel is a long time multi racer both on the domestic and international scene. He is an influential and proactive committee member and a strong supporter of the Retro class
