INFORMATION: Situated on Carnaby Industrial Estate, three miles from Bridlington. Turn off A614 onto Bridlington Bay Road, turn right onto Industrial Estate by John Bull Rock. Other Information: We sail at the south end of the lake adjacent the Light House from either Lake Road East or Lake Road West depending on the weather, weed or if the rowing boats are out.
Sailing Times: Sundays 11.00am – 15.00pm and Wednesdays from 18.00pm –21.00pm in the summer and 11.00am – 15.00pm in the winter. If the rowing boats are out we sail from Lake Road East, CF23 5NN, if not then Lake Road West, CF23 5QY. Situated at the front of the Leisure Centre it is a purpose built lake with all-round access and approx. 40 Metres x 20 Metres in size suitable primarily for Scale models. However the overall size is not suited to really high speed craft and the depth of 12 – 18 inches (30 – 45 cm), depending on rainfall, might limit the use of larger yachts. There is a cafe and loos in the leisure centre and free car parking space near lake. There is a campsite run by the Camping and Caravanning Club nearby.
OTHER INFORMATION: Organised meetings and regattas are shown on the calendar section of website. However, club members also meet informally at the lake on Saturday afternoons and some summer evenings. Indoor club meetings are now held at the Crowborough Community Centre on the first Monday in the month.

OTHER INFORMATION: The Model Hydroplane Club was founded in the early 1970’s. Members compete at events hosted by other clubs in the Midlands and London. Lake is in park behind the Cafe, signposted from main road, near Wagon & Horses pub. From M1 North, exit

From M1 South, exit junction 29 take A617 Chesterfield road then A61 Chesterfield /Dronfield bypass going North.
At A61/Sheffield ring road junction ask directions. Square lake paved all round and concrete wadeable bottom.

INFORMATION: On arriving at South Shields, follow signs for seafront. Park is next to fairground and the pierhead. Nearby parking, refreshments, toilets, shelter, and shops. Wadeable with chest waders. We have to be aware of the wildlife on the lake and consider public opinion. Normally no problems but no I.C. allowed.

INFORMATION: Heath Pool towards Stourbridge on the A451 Norton Lane – B4186 Heath Lane. Car Park and public
toilets nearby. Club members can use the lake six days a week Monday to Saturday from June until March,
and three days from April until June, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. From June we meet on a Sunday morning at
11am, this is because of the wildlife’s breeding season. The park also offers a children’s play area, toilets and
grassy areas for ball games or just to sit about.

PARKING: Security on gate. Produce M.P.B.A. card to gain entrance. Drive slowly through park to road besides
one o’clock club up to the pond side, unload and return cars to the street or chargeable car park.

OTHER INFORMATION: We have access whenever the museum is open from 10:30am to 5pm in summer and to 4pm in Winter however, we have club days on Mondays and Thursdays. We arrive at 10:30 an weather permitting will usually stay until mid-afternoon. We have access to the museum facilities including the toilets and cafe. Our open fronted pavilion provides shelter when pond sailing. And we also have open lake sailing on Windemere for larger yachts such as Dragonflites or One-Metres. We have out own rescue dinghy for any boats going wayward on the lake. Visitors are always welcome. Any visitors bringing steam boats must bring their test certificates with them and all steaming and testing has to be carried out in the secure area on the lake side of our pavilion. There is a charge for parking at the museum but if you visit the exhibition or the café you are provided with a code to nullify your parking charge.

INFORMATION: The Woodbridge Model Boat Club was established over 40 years ago and currently has over 55 members.
We can be found “on the pond” or in the Deben Watersports Centre classroom (next door to our small shed marked ‘Woodbridge Model Boat Club’) four days of the week between 10:00am and 12:00am. Mondays are dedicated to our “Scale & Power” and Wednesdays are open to all categories be it “Scale, Power, Fun or Sail” whilst Tuesdays and Saturdays are when the yachts can be found racing. We are a welcoming and friendly club, ready to chat about our hobby to anyone wanting to know about model boats.
There is a public car park and public toilets nearby. Refreshments are available Wednesdays to Sundays at The Tea Hut café/restaurant.
